The purpose of the Church and World Committee
is to be a source of mission education and a channel through which the
congregation can minister to those who are at risk and hurting in our local
community as well as worldwide.
During 2002 we interacted and provided
financial support for the following outreach organizations in our community:
Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity, CityTeam Ministries, Next Door, (CROP)
Church World Service, Contact, Convalescent Hospital Ministry, Mental
Health, Presbytery Missions, Santa Maria Urban Ministry, Sacred Heart
Community Services, Hospice of the Valley, Martha’s Kitchen, Correctional
Institutions Chaplaincy.

The Membership Ministry Team is dedicated to serve God through expanding
the community of Jesus Christ at Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church.
The team works on programs to reach out to the community around us and
attract new members to our congregation. With the help of the Deacons,
we ensure that all visitors are greeted by a friendly face, and can
explore all that Santa Teresa Hills has to offer. New visitors also
receive a thank you gift a few days after attending.
The Team also sponsors 'Friendship Sundays,' where members of the
congregation are encouraged to invite their friends and family to join us. We are working on other outreach programs to increase our visibility in the community. We are fortunate that all in our congregation are warm and friendly, and that nearly all our visitors feel welcomed and accepted immediately.
The Membership Ministry Team meets the first Tuesday of every month at
the church at 7:30pm.
