Many of you have heard of the 40 Days of Purpose.” Some of you have even read the book The Purpose Driven Life on which the 40 Days is based.  I’ll even bet that a few of you may have gone through the 40 Days of Purpose Church-wide Spiritual Growth Campaign at a church you may have formerly attended.  And now you may be asking, “When can we do something like that here at Santa Teresa Hills?” 

Well, let me answer that for you … SOON!  Starting late September and going for 40 days (naturally) we will join with hundreds of churches around the country and participate in our very own 40 Days of Purpose Church-wide Spiritual Growth Campaign!

            So what does that meant?  The 40 Days of Purpose is a spiritual growth campaign that focuses our entire church on God’s purposes for our lives.  That means that for those 40 days every age group in every Sunday School class, worship service, small group, etc. will be focusing on God’s plan for our lives.  Each week will have a theme that is tied to the book The Purpose Driven Life.  If you don’t have the book, don’t worry, we are ordering lots and lots of copies.

            I hope that you are as thrilled about this as I am.  Lives will be changed.  New connections will be made.  Meaning to our lives will be deepened.  Our faith will grow. I guarantee it!

            I am really excited about what this can do for our church and for each of us in our walk with God.  In the weeks to come I will be sharing more about what to expect and what this campaign is all about.   

            We are now in the midst of planning for this monumental event.  Please be open to serving if you called.  All of us will be involved in one way or another.  If you have any questions you can talk to either me or to Ken Jones (who has gone through the 40 Days of Purpose with other churches a number of times).
